Linda’s Book Obsession Reviews “On Traigh Lar Beach”by Dianne Ebertt Beeaff, She Writes Press, Oct. 2020. On Tour with Suzy Approved Book Tours
Diane Ebertt Beeaff, author of “On Traigh Lar Beach” has written quite a unique and interpretive novel. There are 12 short stories and one novella. Have you ever been on the beach and noticed certain objects that are laying around? Aren’t you curious in some cases to know what the history of the objects are? In this novel, Eric Winchat a writer is on the Scottish beach of Traigh Lar and notices 13 objects. She is quite obsessed with each of the objects, and each of the chapters tells the story of the characters and the object. The 13th object is discussed in the novella.
The genres for this novel are literary fiction with some mystery and some suspense. The author describes her characters as quirky, flawed, complicated and complex. In many of the chapters there is mention of certain flowers and what they are used for, which I found fascinating.
The descriptions of the characters, events and scenery are amazing! The author is very generous in describing the small and larger details. This is quite an unusual and intriguing book!!
