About Me

WELCOME TO MY BLOG
I am a retired teacher and an avid reader and love to read books of many genres. I have several Kindles and Nooks, and hundreds of hard cover books and paperback books. I collected signed first editions as well.
I love to read and review as a hobby. I have read advanced book editions and ARCS from NetGalley, where I am a Top Reviewer, First to Read, BookBrowse(First Impressions), LibraryThing and a few publishing houses and authors.
I have published reviews on NetGalley,Facebook,Goodreads, LibraryThing,Twitter(under peachyteach), BookBrowse, and Amazon(teachlz) when the book is published.
I am obsessed with reading books and reviewing books. Thank you for reading and I hope I have the opportunity to read and review for you. Most of all, enjoy reading books!!
Linda, your reading “obsession” is a true inspiration to me! thank you for your recommendations and for sharing this passion with us! Love your blog

Hello Linda. I would describe myself as someone who writes to take the journey rather than leave the footprint. However, (and that word was always bound to arrive), I have recently completed a lengthy novel in 2 volumes entitled A Self Contained. It’s a story about a woman who is impossibly old who goes to look for her family; a root in search of her branches. The obstacle of her age is set against other forms of discrimination and much of the story is set in South Africa, both past and present. It’s funny (I hope) as well as serious and uses the impossibility of the character’s age as a handle by which to see a very important issue from rather an unusual angle. If you would be willing to review it, I would be happy to send you a copy.

Hi, Linda. As a former teacher, you might, I suspect, enjoy reading my semi-autobiographical novel My Last Year of Life (in School), which was traditionally published. Of course, I would then certainly appreciate your review. I can provide my book to you either as a hard copy or as an ebook through my publisher. Here is my website http://www.keithmanos.com and email (coachkm@sbcglobal.net), and others’ reviews can be found on Amazon.com. Let me know if you would like to review it. Thanks!

Hi Linda,
I am an English teacher so I appreciate that you support literacy. I have trouble finding time to read and blog. I met you with Danny Ray’s party. I came to meet you.
Maybe you can check out my site if you need any blogging tips. That is what I write about.

something I noticed on your site – I was clicking the ‘home’ button on the header but it kept going to the ‘about me’ page rather than the home page so I didnt see any of your recent postings

Lindasbookobsession is a work in progress. The home button and about are the same, and the blog posts have to have a page. I need a few hours to work with WordPress to correct that. Thank you for reminding me.(There are 110 books on the blog) and I have to sort that out. I guess I prefer reading, but this is something I have to do!!Many thanks!!

Hi Linda, Great blog. I enjoyed the reviews and find the site easy to navigate. I’m an avid reader like you and last year managed to read 100 books, though I only had time to review a few.
As well as being a reader, I am a writer. I write books for adults and for children and I was wondering whether you’d be interested in reviewing my latest novel.
“Shadows on the Grass” is set in 1960’s Bristol and tells the story of a Polish family. Displaced by WW2 they are struggling to adjust to life in a different country and, at the same time, trying to come to terms with tragedies and betrayals stretching back to the beginning of the century.
The book will be published in January 2018, by Penkhull Press. If you would like to get in touch, my email is misha.herwin@btopenworld.com
Thanks.
