Reviewer. lover and blogger of books.

WELCOME TO MY BLOG

I am a retired teacher and an avid reader and love to read books of  many genres. I have several Kindles and Nooks, and hundreds of hard cover books and paperback books. I collected signed first editions as well.

I love to read and review as a hobby. I have read advanced book editions and ARCS from NetGalley, where I am a Top Reviewer, First to Read, BookBrowse(First Impressions), LibraryThing and a few publishing houses and authors.

I have published reviews  on NetGalley,Facebook,Goodreads, LibraryThing,Twitter(under peachyteach), BookBrowse, and Amazon(teachlz) when the book is published.

I am obsessed with reading books and reviewing books. Thank you for reading and I hope I have the opportunity to read and review for you. Most of all, enjoy reading books!!

  1. Hello Linda. I would describe myself as someone who writes to take the journey rather than leave the footprint. However, (and that word was always bound to arrive), I have recently completed a lengthy novel in 2 volumes entitled A Self Contained. It’s a story about a woman who is impossibly old who goes to look for her family; a root in search of her branches. The obstacle of her age is set against other forms of discrimination and much of the story is set in South Africa, both past and present. It’s funny (I hope) as well as serious and uses the impossibility of the character’s age as a handle by which to see a very important issue from rather an unusual angle. If you would be willing to review it, I would be happy to send you a copy.
