Lisa Williams Kline, the author of “Ladies’ Day” has written an entertaining and intriguing novel. Much of the scenery centers around golf courses, clubs, and the character’s houses. The author describes her characters as complex, complicated, flawed, quirky, and dysfunctional. I appreciate the author discussing the importance of family, friends, community, love and hope.

Beth Saywer constantly thinks of her daughter Julie, who disappeared 15 years ago. Not only did Beth lose her daughter, but her marriage with Mark collapsed, and now he has a fiance. It is a traditional golf date at lady’s day for Beth and her friends. She sees a flyer with a picture of a teen golfer named Sky Walker, who looks like a doppleganger of her daughter Jill. Could this be her granddaughter?

I appreciate that the author writes with wit and compassion, and I recommend this book.
