Alretha Thomas, the author of “The Girl In The Blue Blazer,” has written an intriguing and suspenseful novel. The Genres for this novel are Suspense, Fiction, and Thriller. I read this novel in one sitting and was disappointed when it was finished. The author tells and writes a great story and vividly describes her dark and colorful characters and the scenery. This is like a fantastic game of cat and mouse, taking place over a decade with the same man and two women. There are twists and turns and unexpected surprises. There are deep dark secrets that continue.
In 1993, Andrew Clifford, the Third, saves a young woman when she is harassed by a man and becomes known as a hero. Elizabeth Westlake is poor and works as a waitress in a strip club. Elizabeth’s dream is to become a writer. Will Andrew be able to help her? Unfortunately, Elizabeth has a tragedy.
In 2019, Andrew is a powerful, wealthier, and successful man with a huge company. Pamela Carter applies to Andrew’s company hoping to become an intern. Pamela is manipulative and intrigued with Andrew, his business, and the women in his company. Andrew has an explosive temper and destroys anyone that attempts to betray him.
Will these two timelines connect? I highly recommend this edgy and suspenseful novel to other readers.
