Hank Phillippi Ryan, the Author of “One Wrong Word” has written an intense, edgy, captivating and intriguing well-written novel. The genres for this novel are Thriller, Mystery, Suspense, Psychological Thriller, Fiction and Crime. I loved everything about this book, and highly recommend this though-provoking novel to others. The author discusses the fairness of the court system, and writes about betrayals, gaslighting, truth and consequences, lies, rumors, gossip, wrong words, and revenge.
The author vividly describes the dramatic characters, the events, the plot, and the scenery. The characters are complex, complicated, flawed, dysfunctional, greedy and scrupulous. Arden Ward is known as a fixer of crisis management, and she has a major problem of her own. She is given two weeks notice when the wife of a major client claims that Arden was with her husband. Before she leaves, the owner of the company wants her to clean up a mess and help a client, with the promise of a referral, and some money. Arden is asked to help the Banister family. The father, Ned just got an acquittal from the court on drunken charges and manslaughter. However in the eyes of the public, his wife Cordelia and their children are still facing negative public scrutiny. As Arden seeks the truth, secrets and lies unravel. There is much more to the situation than meets the eye. I highly recommend this thought-provoking, intense, and memorable novel to others.
