Samantha Chase, the Author of “Baking it Merry” has written a delightful, festive, and captivating novel that is just delicious! In this feel good story, the author vividly describes the holiday spirit in landscape in a small town, and her colorful and dramatic characters. The genres for this book are Contemporary Fiction, Romance, and Christmas and Holiday. The characters are complex and complicate, and both similar and yet different.
Daphne Noelle is a kind-hearted, giving, hard-working, cheerful and creative baker. She works on a website, but for a few months of the year uses a gingerbread house to display her baked goods in a business lobby with other creative vendors. Her delicious baked goods are a major hit with the employees, and she is able to provide a creative catering experience for some clients on the outside of this building.
Tristan, a hardworking, stiff, and uptight architect finds the Gingerbread house a nuisance that disrupts the flow of the floorplan in the building. He appreciates the elegance of the building, and is annoyed even more with Daphne’s exuberant personality.
The two creative personalities seem to crash, and both at first seem like enemies. It is only when Tristan finds himself in a difficult position, he finds that Daphne could well be the answer to his problems, in more than one way. I highly recommend this charming book to others, and I invite you to read to see what happens. Happy Reading!
