WOW!! Kaira Rouda, the Author of “Jill is Not Happy” has written a devilish, sinful, witty and captivating thriller. This is one book that I read in one sitting. What an intense gem of a book!!The Genres for this novel are Psychological Thriller, Domestic Thriller, Women’s Divorce Fiction, Mystery, and Suspense. Kaira Rouda vividly describes the scenery, plot, and dramatic characters. I love how the author shows the portrayal of what seems like a perfect couple, and then chips away, to show their reality.
Jack and Jill have been married a long time, live in a lovely home, and seem to have a comfortable life with their daughter away at school. They have some deep tragic secrets to bind them together. Jill Tingley may appear to have a dream life, but I would suggest that Jack sleep with one eye open. Whatever Jill wants, Jill gets. Her husband Jack has some secrets of his own. They were college sweethearts, and now Jack can’t wait to divorce her. Jill want to get their romantic “fire” going again, and suggests a road trip to Utah.
Jill is skillfully manipulative, and Jack seems to be learning to play this game. It is a matter of survival and power. This reminds me of a game of Chess. I loved the twists and turns and surprises! I highly recommend this edgy, thought-provoking thriller
