I loved everything about “Such Good People” by Author Amy Blumenfeld. This is such a thought-provoking, heart-felt, and memorable book. I appreciate that the author discusses the importance of family, friends, honesty, communication, kindness, love and hope.

In this well written and explored novel, Amy Blumenfeld vividly describes the locations and her colorful, and dramatic characters. The characters are complex, complicated. Some are loyal, honest, and hardworking, and others are manipulative, greedy, indifferent, and callous. I enjoyed reading about April and her friend Rudy, and their strong young friendship. Their families are close and it is wonderful to see friends grow up in the city. They are both loyal and honest people. When April becomes a freshman in college, one night turns into a nightmare with tragic consequences. Rudy meets April in a bar, and goes to protect April from a drunk student. What happens next is unbelievable. Rudy is arrested, and April is expelled from her college. April’s parents try to help Rudy’s parents.

Through her volunteering, April meets Peter, a young attorney, and they get married and have children. April does keep in touch with Rudy. Peter has political aspirations to run for office. Rudy is up for parole, and somehow April’s past winds up in the newspapers, and on all media. April is put in a position to prove her loyalty.

I highly encourage you to read “Such Good People” to see what happens. This is an exceptional and amazing read.
