Tina Hogan Grant, the Author of “A Daughter’s Secret” has written a heartfelt and captivating novel. This is the second book in “The Secrets Series” but can be read alone.. The genres for this story are Small Town and Rural Fiction, Women’s Literary Fiction, Friendship fiction, and Family Fiction. In this well-written book, the author vividly describes the small town charm, and the colorful and dramatic characters. I love that there is a very personable dog, and a sweet attentive cat. Molly has secrets that are close to her heart, and she has decided to search for the truth. A tragic fire killed her adoptive parents, and after waiting a few years, Molly is determined to take some action. She needs to get to Riverbanks, a secluded mountain town in Montana, which is far from Texas, where she has lived. Her close friend and neighbor Stacey decides to accompany Molly on her trip. Stacey has some secrets as well.
Molly has been doing extensive research for years which is leading her to her destination of Riverbanks, Montana. Her decision can bring her happiness, if all goes well. If her decision wasn’t the correct one, she will have heartbreak and disappointment.
I appreciate how Tina Hogan Grant discusses important subjects as communication, honesty, courage, self-worth, the importance of friends, family. love and hope. I highly recommend this thought-provoking and memorable novel.
