In the present time, Charlie and her husband have a successful reality show. Her father calls Charlie for help, and to see her mother, who is now in a Memory Nursing home. Reluctantly Charlie visits and sees her childhood home worse than ever. Charlie’s mother has good and bad days in the Nursing Home.While Charlie is cleaning out the house, she finds that the mother she thought she knew had a different life. She sees her mother and father’s heartbreaking memories in letters and photos, and begins to understand that there were dark secrets.
