OMG! What an elegant and beautiful edition and presentation of “La Mesa Mexicana” “The Food of Mexico” by Rosa Cienfuegos, Author. This represents the cultural foods from eight different regions in Mexico. Kudos to the photographer, Alicia Taylor, for the tantalizing and tempting dishes. I love the way Rosa Cienfuegos organizes this book. There is a map of the different regions, a description of pantry needs to cook Mexican food, the describing of the Mexican table, and drinks. The colors, culture, recipes are to die for! The recipes are described very clearly, and I can even follow them. When I was taking notes and looking at the photos of scrumptious foods, I was ready to pick up my cellphone to dial DoorDash for Mexican food, and realized that it would never be the same. The pictures appeal to all of the senses. With the holiday season almost upon us, I would suggest that this would make a spectacular gift, and I would highly recommend this book.
