Miranda Liasson, the Author of “Take Me Home to You” has written a delightful,caprivating, heartfelt and pleasurable novel. This is just what the Doctor ordered to get me out of my funky mood. This is the third book of “The Amazing Doctors of Oak Bluff), and can be read alone, although I want to read the other two books for fun. In the enjoyable, well written book, the author vividly describes the scenery and feeling in a small town, and the colorful and dramatic characters. The characters are complex, complicated, flawed, likeable, quirky and witty, including the loveable dog!
Two hurt people meet on the airplane headed to Turks and Caicos. One is Ani, a tipsy run-away bride, and the other is Adam, a depressed widower. Both manage to have a wonderful time, and regret when it is time to go home. Months later both, who are doctors meet in the ER in a small town. Adam is the chief of the ER, and is very serious and strict, and Ani is a Pediatrician , and has to work several hours at this hospital. One of the emergency patients is a teenage girl who gives birth, and Ana delivers the baby. The young girl surrenders the baby and asks Ana to take care of the baby, and Ana really is starting to like this idea.
I love the adventure that Miranda Liasson has in store for us. I highly recommend this memorable and thought-provoking story!
