“Coming Home” by Judith Keim is the second book in the Chandler Hill Inn series. I loved the first book, “Going Home” and think that is best to read both books to have a greater understanding of the significance of the story.  “Coming Home” is an emotional, captivating, romantic, intriguing and intense novel. The themes for this novel are Fiction, Women’s Fiction, and Romance. The timeline for this story is set in the present and goes to the past when it pertains to the characters or events. The author vividly describes the vineyards and the rooms in the Inn. I want to pack my bags and immediately visit. The author describes her colorful cast of characters as complex, complicated, determined hardworking. Some are ruthless, and there are betrayals.

“Cami” Chandler comes home from France, broken-hearted over a failed romance to take over The Inn and Winery that has been left to her by her deceased Grandmother Lettie. Her Grandfather Rafe is there to help provide emotional support. Cami finds out that some of the monies she inherits from her Grandmother have been lost in a Ponzi scheme, so she has to be careful and moderate in her spending.  Cami realizes that she will have to find people that she can trust. There are twists and turns, and suspense.

I highly recommend this entertaining and thought-provoking story.
