Lindas Book Obsession Reviews “The Woman Inside” by E.G. Scott Dutton, January 22, 2019
WOW! OMG!!! Kudos to E.G.Scott, Author of “The Woman Inside” for writing such an edgy, intense, captivating, unpredictable, suspenseful, mysterious, chilling thriller. My nerves were honestly shot by the end of this book. Again, it is lucky I didn’t break my gel nails or a tooth. Yet, I couldn’t put this book down, no matter what. The Genres for this novel are thriller, suspense, mystery and fiction. The story is set in the present and goes back twenty years, and more when it pertains to the characters of events of the story. The author describes are quirky and dysfunctional characters as complex, complicated and suspect.
Rebecca and Paul have been married for twenty years. Both come with a history of tragedies in their families. Both have a way of avoiding the truth and lying. There are secrets in their marriage. Their marriage is almost like a game of chess, or a game of cat and mouse.
Some of Paul’s indiscretions during their marriage have a way of showing up. When bodies go missing, and bodies are found dead, the police become involved. Quite a few members in this community are up to no good. Rebecca is forced to quit her job, and her addiction to certain medications may become a problem. Why doesn’t Rebecca tell Paul that she is no longer working? What can Rebecca be plotting? There are twists and turns. Even the police keep finding different suspects with motives.
Strange and dangerous things are happening. Someone has been in Rebecca’s house, and things are mysteriously disappearing. I was left guessing, and my conclusions were proven wrong. Warning: This is a book one should not read before going to bed.!! I would highly recommend this frightening thriller to readers who enjoy this genre. What an amazing book!!
