WOW! James Alan Ross, the author of “Spirit of the Woods” vividly describes the characters, events, landscape, and plot in his novel. I highly recommend this captivating, intriguing, riveting and thought-provoking novel. The genres for this novel are Folktale, Children’s Environment and Ecology, Fiction, and Myth and Mystical. This is a perfect novel for young readers of age, as well as young readers of heart. I am impressed by the symbolism and I love the way James Alan Ross tells his story. The author describes his characters as complex, and complicated. Is there anyone who hasn’t been curious about myths and stories of “Bigfoot” and Sasquatch??

I appreciate that the author brings up important topics such as conservation, recycling, and taking care of the earth, and being kind to one another. This would make the perfect movie!
