Wow! Hank Phillippi Ryan, Author of “Her Perfect Life” has written a suspenseful, intriguing and captivating novel. The Genres for this story are Fiction, Mystery, Suspense, and Thriller. The timeline for this story is set in the present and goes to the past when it pertains to the characters or events. The author describes her dramatic and colorful characters as complex and complicated. There are betrayals, twists and turns, and some mean-spirited characters. I love the way that Hank Phillippi Ryan vividly describes her characters, events, and plots. This is an edgy, suspenseful novel that had me literally biting my nails. Any sound in the room had me jump out of the chair. I had to read this in one sitting,
The protagonist in the story Lily Atwood, is a well known television reporter, that has a dark secret that she would prefer to stay in the background. Unfortunately when one is as popular as Lily, she is like a magnet attracting metal objects. Everyone wants to know about her life. Lily is a protective mother and even tries her best to keep her young daughter from getting photographed.
Lily has been lucky with some tips to big stories from an anonymous source, who seems to be getting too personal. All of a sudden this source seems to be giving her the information in her life that she wants to keep secret. As more information becomes more available to Lily, she is starting to realize that she is in great danger. If these secrets unravel, her life will be ruined. How can Lily keep her daughter and herself safe with all the threats that surround her? Who would want to cause Lily harm?
There are suspects and suspense and danger. I highly recommend this chilling thriller for other readers. Happy Reading!
