Adam Pelzman, author of “A Cuban Russian America Love Story” has written such a poignant, unique and memorable novel. The genres for this novel are Literary Fiction, Domestic Fiction, and Fiction. The author describes his dramatic characters as flawed, complex, and complicated. Kudos to Adam Pelzman for writing such a beautiful story and vividly describing the characters and events.
The author takes us on a literal journey where we meet a lovely young woman from Cuba, who works in a strip club to make ends meet. She has her standards, and sometimes comes off as innocent and kind. We also meet a young boy in Russia that lives in an orphanage, and through some luck and hard work is able to come to America and become wealthy. We also meet an American woman that has been through a tragic accident and is limited in how she can function.
The three characters do connect, and the story shows us how they make the best of what they can from their lives. The author discusses the importance of loyalty, friendship, love and hope. I would highly recommend this thought-provoking story!
