In this captivating well written novel, Jeanne McWilliams Blasberg vividly describes New York City, Miami Beach, and her dramatic and colorful characters. The Protagonist of the story, Betsabe Ruiz finishes college and finds herself working all hours in the financial district in Wall Street. Betsabe wonders if she can have it all, a prestigious career, and a social life. When Betsabe first starts working, she has no idea of the hours, the commitment, nor the fast paced life in Manhattan. As Betsabe enters the adult world, she realizes there are lessons to be learned and experiences to be lived.
The author discusses the importance of honesty, communication, self-growth, self-healing, forgiveness and second chances. Also discussed is the importance of family, friends, courage, love and hope. Sometimes wisdom is achieved from learning from the past, and accepting the present. I loved and highly recommend this thought-provoking and heart-felt novel.
