“Then There Was You” by Miranda Liaison is an enjoyable, heartwarming, and endearing story. The Genres for this novel are  Women’s Fiction and Romance. The timeline of the story is mostly in the present year and goes to the past when it pertains to the characters or events.

The author describes the characters as mostly likable , complicated, complex, and each has his/her set of problems. There are some secrets, lies and betrayals that surface.  Sarah Langdon , a physician has returned home to Angel Falls to join her father’s practice and help take care of her forgetful grandmother.   Sarah doesn’t date much since her wedding had been cancelled the year before.

Colton Walker is the Chief of Police, and has been at odds with Sarah for years.  Both Colin and Sarah argue if they see each other. It doesn’t take much to set them off.  So why would their family members think they should date?

I appreciate that the author discusses the importance of family and friends, emotional support, love and hope. I also like that the topic of dementia and Alzheimer’s disease is brought up. Also mentioned are the topics of communication and honesty.  I would recommend this delightful book for those readers that like Romance and Women’s Fiction. I received an ARC from NetGalley for my honest review.
