Jill Hannah Anderson, Author of “Crazy Little Town Called Love”has described her quaint town, and colorful cast  of characters in such a vivid way, that I  am ready to pack my bags to look for a town just like  Love. Can you picture a heart-shaped lake and a town with neighborly folks?  “Crazy Little Town Called Love” is a delightful, charming, endearing, and entertaining read. The Genres for this novel are Fiction, Women’s Fiction, Mystery and Romance. This is the second book in the “Hell and Back club Series,” but is a stand alone. The timeline of the story is in the present and goes to the past only when it pertains to the events or characters in the story.

The author describes most of her characters as likable, neighborly and helpful. Some of the characters have questionable motives, and are complex and complicated. There are deep buried secrets from the past that have caused pain in the past and changes  and surprises in the future.

Did you ever hear the expression when “one door closes, another opens?” Thirty- two -year -old Molly has to leave her comfortable  and cushy life in Minneapolis, when her boyfriend of seven years, not only leaves the relationship, but leaves her in debt with a mortgage and other expenses. Molly has been dependent on Nick, and after he betrays her, she is desperate to find where she belongs.

Molly has inherited a run-down store and house that was left to her Mother, in the quaint town of Love. She is determined to find herself and run the store. At first many of the residents are overly cautious , because of past history with Molly’s grandfather. Molly certainly will have to prove herself.  As Molly makes new friends, she also finds she is being threatened by someone who wants her to leave. After a frightening warning, Molly’s house is trashed, and things go missing. Each incident becomes more dangerous and threatening. Why is this happening, and who is responsible for wanting Molly to leave?

I appreciate that the author discusses the importance of family, neighbors, friends, love and hope.  The author also mentions the importance of loyalty, strength, growth, communication, hard work and determination. I would recommend this novel to readers that enjoy the Genres of Fiction, Mystery and Romance.
