Mary Kay Andrews, Author of “Sunset Beach” has written a captivating, intriguing, entertaining, unpredictable and amazing novel. The Genres for this novel are Fiction, Women’s Fiction, Mystery and Suspense. The timeline for this story is in the present and goes to the past when it pertains to the characters or events in the story. The author describes her dramatic cast of characters as complex and complicated.

Drue Campbell is at an all-time low. After her mother’s funeral,, Brice Campbell, the father she hasn’t seen for many years, offers her a job. Brice is an attorney that advertises his services on different media. His office manager, Wendy is none other than Drue’s eighth grade girlfriend. Wendy is also Brice’s wife. The only good news is that Drue has inherited her grandmother’s rundown cottage, which is by the water.

At first, Drue is to screen the calls that come in to see what legitimate cases they will make for her father.  Wendy doesn’t make her job any easier. Drue is very inquisitive and questions many things that are going on. Drue stumbles upon some activity in the office, that could cause major problems for her father.

Drue also finds some strange information in the attic of her cottage. Soon Drue is investigating some things that could be extremely dangerous.Drue finds information of a missing person and murder.  There are twists and turns, and betrayals. Who can be trusted?  I would highly recommend this intense novel for those readers who enjoy  a suspenseful story.
