Devney Perry author of “Riven Knight” has written an intense and suspenseful novel. This is the second in the “Tin Gypsy Series”. I would suggest reading the first book in the series. The Genres for this Novel are Contemporary Fiction and Contemporary Romance. The timeline for the story is set in the author’s present and goes to the past when it pertains to the characters or events, The author describes her characters as complex and complicated.  There are twists and turns, suspense and mystery, and danger. This involves a former motorcycle gang.

Genevieve is grieving the violent death of her mother and discovers that she now has a father, and two step-brothers, one which seems to dislike her strongly. In the first book, Genevieve was kidnapped and almost killed. Isaiah, a former convict has saved her life, but at a tremendous cost. Feeling that the only way that Isaiah can avoid going back to prison, Genevieve and Isaiah get married.

Genevieve’s dreams of becoming a lawyer seem to be far away. Her goals are to find out who killed her mother and yet stay out of danger from the people responsible for kidnapping her. Genevieve is upset with the secrets, lies, and betrayals. Who is she to trust? At first, Isaiah seems like a stranger to her and is very quiet. Isaiah seems secretive and distant.

Devney Perry has written a face-paced novel full of intense danger and adventure. She vividly describes her characters and the events in the story. I would highly recommend this suspenseful novel. I eagerly am awaiting the third book in the series.
