Dan Sofer, author of “Revenge of the Elders of Zion” has written a satire, with very dark humor or comedy. This is a coming of age novel and also shows the contrasts of hate and love. This also seems to be a Political Satire and possible Thriller. There is action, threats, theft, betrayals, adventure, murder. The author describes his characters as dysfunctional, evil, complex, and complicated.
David Zelig has been betrayed. by someone that his father had helped. He seeks his two good friends out to become the “TRIO” to search for the “Elders of Zion” who may or may not exist. Somehow, this winds up with major agencies and evil characters.
Just a warning, although this is a SATIRE, poking fun at many things, some people may be sensitive to anti-semitism, and other subjects mentioned. I have read other novels by this author, that I enjoyed. This is not one of my favorite novels that the author has written.
This is a book for the reader who enjoys a dark, political satire and thriller.
