Lindas Book Obsession Reviews “Shit Adults Never Taught Us” by Natasha Sattler, April 2021, On Tour with Suzy Approved Book Tours
Natasha Sattaler, the author of “Shit Adults Never Taught Us” has written a self-help guide in a witty and informative way. In the Introduction, the author states,”This is essentially a memoir disguised as a self help book.” This book is divided into sections, “Career and Money Shit”, “Relationship Shit”, “Mind Shit” and “Life Shit” Within these sections are short essays, or short chapters.
These chapters are witty and sometimes very practical. Many of these topics are ones that usually aren’t discussed or thought of when chatting with others. For example in the “Career and Money Shit” section, the author gives advice on saving, asking for a raise, and explains what a 401K is.So much of what the author has written in the various chapters really is common sense.
In the “Relationship Shit” section there are topics about ending a relationship, looking for love, and surviving a breakup. The author also suggests learning new things, going clubs, and treating yourself, or taking yourself out, friendship, and many other things.
I appreciate that in “Mind Shit”, the author offers suggestions to ease anxiety, and problem solve which again are so helpful. In “Life Shit” the author gives suggestions on traveling alone, being mindful of your health, and so much more. I would recommend this as a great “to go to book” and a resource book that is extremely thought-provoking.
