Jamie Brenner, Author of “Blush” has written an intriguing, captivating, memorable and thought-provoking novel. “Blush” is one of my favorite books this year to read. The Genres for “Blush” are Literary Fiction, Historical Fiction,Romantic Fiction and Women’s Fiction. This is well written novel that vividly describes the wine industry, three generations of family and women, and the exclusive “romantic”novels that were so controversial in past and present days. There are three timelines in this novel with three women and the present. There are dark secrets. Women have not always been treated fairly with men, and that reflects in this story. The author describes her characters as complex, complicated, secretive, and confused. Some show courage and all show the importance of sisterhood.
I loved everything about this novel and was fascinated by the wine industry, especially on Long Island, where I live. This was well researched, and I found this to be an entertaining and amazing novel, which I would highly recommend to other readers. The author describes the importance of realizing and working towards your dreams. Also discussed is the importance of family and friends. This certainly is a memorable book! Happy reading !
