Julianne MacLean, the author of “Beyond the Moonlit Sea” has written an intense and suspenseful novel. The genres for “Beyond the Moonlit Sea” are Mystery, Suspense and Fiction. There is also a touch of scientific theory, and it is really intriguing how science and fiction can work together. The story starts in 1990 in Miami, and goes to the past and future when it pertains to the characters and events. The author vividly describes her dramatic characters as complex and complicated. There are betrayals, deep and dark secrets, mistakes and mysteries.

Olivia Hamilton and Dean seem like the perfect couple. Olivia has very wealthy parents, and Dean has a very dysfunctional family. Olivia wants to have a baby more than anything. Dean is working as a pilot, that flies a private plane that caters to special and wealthy people. He is called into work, and somehow Olivia gets news that on his return, as he was flying over the Bermuda Triangle, he disappears. That is the last time that Olivia has seen Dean.

There are many theories about the Bermuda Triangle, and the mystery surrounding Dean’s disappearance is very difficult for Olivia to come to grips with.

Melanie Brown is a physicist who has been obsessed with the Bermuda Triangle. After the death of her mother, Melanie goes to a psychologist to try to maintain interest in her work. She continues to write an important paper, and seems to form an attachment to the psychologist.

Somehow Olivia and Melanie have a connection, and when it is discovered, things will never again be the same.

I highly recommend this memorable, thought-provoking and intense novel to other readers.
