In her journey, Honora works at many jobs to pay the rent. Honora loves New York City, and Queens, and travels and observes all the details. She dreams of traveling the world. On the train, Honora differentiates between the day and night, light and darkness, and notices the beauty all around.
Honora and the two sides of her personality, Honey and Nora, write in the notebooks the magical words that make her world. When Honora gets frustrated, she picks herself up, and starts again. The ending often causes a new beginning for her. I appreciate the author’s message, to constantly dream, think positive, and have hope. I would highly recommend this beautifully written novel.
