The author vividly describes her colorful characters as complex, complicated and quirky.
Billie Slate, after experiencing three marriages, creates an unusual job. She dons a pink rabbit suit and becomes the “HeartBreak Bunny. Her Mantra is “SNAP OUT OF IT”.
Billie is convinced that love leads to heartbreak and trouble. She visits people with a recent breakup and “divorces” the objects, songs, etc. that tie them to the ones they loved.
Sometimes she has thoughts of her grandmother and magically chants out words. Whatever seems to help, Billie does. Billie and her baby daughter were left by husband number one. Billie brought up her daughter who is now an Instagram Influencer.
Billie becomes very popular. A TV host is enthralled with Billie, and Husband Number One is back in town. I highly recommend this delightful and intriguing novel.
