Beth C. Greenberg the author of “Into the Quiet” has written an entertaining, and witty updated modern version of characters from Greek Mythology. The genres for this book are fiction, humor with a touch of fantasy. The timeline for this story is set in the present and goes to the past when it pertains to the characters or events. The author describes her colorful characters as quirky, comical, complex and complicated. This is the second in a series and can be read alone.
In this unique version of a modern Greek Mythology, Cupid, has fallen from grace and his punishment from the Gods is to fix a situation, and at the same time get his heart broken. This time Cupid’s heart leads him to a new love and a situation that must be fixed. Ruthie is married to her husband for 23 years, yet something is missing. Ruthie and her husband have had some difficult times, but now Ruthie suspects that he might be having an affair. Ruthie loves to cook and write Romantic stories. When she meets Cupid, she is just as attracted to him as he is with her. Unfortunately to remedy his situation, Cupid is supposed to help fix the marriage.
Pan, who is Cupid’s best friend tries to keep him out of trouble.Besides getting used to not having wings, Cupid also is not one hundred percent familiar with certain mortal traditions. Do you think that Cupid will finally make his way home? This is a delightful and sexy read that I recommend to other readers.
