This is the second in the Ana Nevins/ Noah Roche Mystery Series, and can be read alone. The themes for this novel are :International Mystery and Crime, Police Procedurals, Suspense, and Fiction. In this well written novel, the Author vividly describes the scenery, landscape and dramatic,dark complex and complicated characters. The story takes place near the high desert of New Mexico, near the Navajo Nation and a Hotel that is named “Hotel Gloriosa” . There is an International Conference for Homicide Investigators, Forensic Experts, and Journalists. Noah Roche is there to talk at some conferences about Homicides. Ava accompanies him on this trip. When they get to their room in the hotel, the body of a Detective that Noah as had issues and arguments with, is found dead. The Police immediately take Noah into custody as the main suspect with motive. Ava frantically tries to find who is framing Noah, and clear Noah’s name. This is a fast-paced book with secrets, betrayals, threats, danger and. murder. I highly recommend this intense and suspenseful mystery.
