Peter Golden, the Author “A Girl From Ohio” has written an intriguing, intense, and powerful thriller. The Genres for this well-written book are : Historical Fiction, Mystery, Suspense, Thriller, and Romance. The Author vividly describes the various time periods, the locations and scenery, and the dark and dramatic characters. Emmet Maze is a Professor, Author, Journalist, and excels in finding missing people or details. In the current time, the daughter of his former girlfriend from the early 1970’s, comes to Emmet for help in finding her father, and her mother’s husband who has disappeared. Emmet and Kaya were an item for three years, just after the Vietnam War ended. Kaya just ended their relationship and married a former boyfriend. Emmet still feels there is unfinshed business between them.
It seems, Reese, Kaya’s husband owes money to the government, crime syndicates, and many toxic people. These people play dangerous games. There are secrets, betrayals, espionage, dander, threats, kidnapping and murder, I highly recommend this intense criminal thriller.
