Kudos to Amy Ewing, the Author of “The Plus One List”, for writing such an entertaining, heartfelt, memorable and thought-provoking novel. The Genres for this Novel are : Adult, Fiction, Romance, Vacation Romance, and Contemporary Fiction. In this well written novel, the Author vividly describes the scenery, the change of locations, the plot, and the colorful and dramatic characters. Eloise, the female protagonist in the novel is an introvert, shy, has an extreme anxiety disorder and prefers to be at home with her senior rescue dogs. Yes, I love this part, Eloise takes in senior dogs that other people won’t adopt, and each of them has a unique personality. Elise’s best friend is an influencer, and an extrovert and has the fantastic news that she will be getting married, and wants Eloise to be her Maid of Honor. Her only catch is that Eloise bring a Plus One.
There is a Plus One list that has been strongly vetted, and it is difficult to get on. Augustin is a journalist, and has his own ulterior motives for being a plus one, and will do anything for this position. Somehow while attempting to help Eloise, Augustin introduces Eloise and her beloved dogs to the neighbors. Augustin does take Eloise to see places near the wedding venue, and his family. The biggest problems are the secrets Augustin is keeping from Eloise. Will Eloise get a Happily Ever After? I appreciate how the author discusses the importance of family, friends, neighbors, community, and self worth. I highly recommend this witty and delightful novel.
