OMG!! Rebecca Taylor, the Author of “Her Name Was Lola” has written an intense, captivating, powerful, chilling thriller, that kept me up most of the night. There is gaslighting, psychological games, twists and turns, danger, secrets, betrayals, sex, kidnapping, torture, blackmail, and murder. The Author vividly describes the toxic settings, plots, dark and dramatic characters. Some of the characters are mentally unstable, toxic, greedy, manipulative, and out of touch with reality. I really kept guessing and yelling at the characters.(Like it did any good!) I had high anxiety reading this, and really recommend this to other readers.
The female protagonist,Dr. Delores Landry is an accomplished author, professor at Stanford, has three adopted sons, and a beautiful home. She does have big SECRETS. In my opinion, she could do better with her taste in men.(Just saying) Once upon a time, Dr Delores Landry could very well relate to “Her Name was Lola.” BIG WARNING: I suggest you not read before you intend to sleep. Again, I highly recommend this well written book, if you want to escape reality!!
