Elise Hart Kipness, the Author of “Price of Silence” has written a captivating and intriguing mystery, criminal fictional story, and thriller. In this well written novel, the author vividly describes the locations, settings, plots, and dark and dramatic characters. There are secrets, lies, betrayals, greed, jealousy, competition, danger, poisoning, twists and turns, conflicts and murder. In this intense novel, the female protagonist, Sydney Price tries to make it on her own abilities as a TV News Reporter. Sydney has an influencial step family that has power and secrets as well. Sydney has been dealing with the effects of a powerful storm, and is reporting it. There are also reports of bombs that have gone off in one of her family’s office buildings. A colleague at her news station dies from possible poisoning, leaving Sydney with clues. She discovers that her ex-boyfriend may have connections to some of what is going on. Sydney is determined at any cost to find out who, and what is responsible, bring her into danger. I highly recommend this suspenseful novel.
