Suzy England vividly describes the locations, scenery, plot/s, and colorful and dramatic characters. On her last day in London, Natalie Powell, meets the most charismatic, handsome, personable and romantic man.They have an unbelievable chemistry, and a witty way of verbal sparring with each other. He is at a bar, and takes out a pocket watch that intrigues her. Natalie knows that she is leaving, so suggests they use different names. Natalie is “Amelia Earhart”, and this gentleman is “Thomas Crown”. After a passionate, short-lived love affair, Natalie must choose her life ambitions in the Luxury Event Planning Industry in the United States, or the possible love of her life. Natalie needs to find someone wealthy to back up her new endeavors.
Natalie leaves for the United States and will first visit with her sister, and her 70 year old father, who is having a special birthday celebration. She constantly thinks of the man, (“Thomas Crown) that she met. At her father’s party, there will be many wealthy possible investors. Natalie is at a loss when she finds her sister walking into the party with the very man that Natalie is in love with. Is this Fate, Kismet, Destiny or Bad Luck?
I appreciate how Suzy England discusses the importance of communication, honesty, loyalty, family, sisters, friends, love and hope. Also discussed is redemption and second chances. I love and recommend this witty, charming and delightful novel to others.
